April 26, 2014

This week was very mind opening for me.  I have chosen this field of study because I love to work with and serve people.  I also aspire to become a great leader in the workplace as well as in my personal life.  Business seemed to be the logical solution to these desires of mine.  It wasn't until today when I read and watched the introductory study materials for this class that I realized the real reason why business management is the perfect fit for me.  I learned this week that the most effective manager is one who inspires their employees to do their best, but most importantly, to be their best.  That is what I want out of life; that is my quest, my passion.  Money is important for us to be better suited to raise our family and to serve others, but it should not be the main motivation for following a certain career path.  Guy taught us that it is better to find your passion and follow it, hoping that money will follow than to seek money, possibly never find it, and become miserable either way.  I am thrilled to be a part of this course and I look forward to the many lessons I will learn about business and about who I want to become.
